KCS Panikar had founded Chola Mandal Gram. KCS Panikar has held the post of Principal of the Government School of Art and Craft. After the year 1960, his inclination was towards an objectless style, especially towards sculpture. KCS Panikar worked on contemporary art in Madras.

Chola Mandal village is located in Tamil Nadu. K C S Panikar founded it in 1966 as a village for artists outside Madras.
चोल मंडल ग्राम तमिलनाडु राज्य में स्थित है। वर्ष 1966 में इसकी स्थापना के सी एस पणिकर ने मद्रास के बाहर कलाकरों के एक गाँव बसाने के रूप में हुआ।
